Slow Dance is a synth pop power couple from New York, currently residing in Los Angeles. In 2015, Jacob and Alex met and immediately bonded over their mutual love of vintage synthesizers and music production. This initial spark led to a relationship that soon blossomed when they wrote their first song together “Give It All To You”; a song about giving into desire that later made an appearance on their 2017 debut EP “Guys Like You”. Through an eclectic array of inspirations that include androgynous 80s legends, pop punk bands of the mid 00s, and modern top 40 hit makers; Slow Dance explores a future that we all used to dream of, creating the unapologetically queer pop music that Jacob & Alex wished they heard when they were growing up. Now that they’ve moved to Los Angeles together, they’re ready to catch your eyes and your ears with infectious hooks and energetic live shows. In the last year, their music has been featured in numerous films and LOGOtv's NewNowNext. Slow Dance also won first place in the Splice/Switched On Pop "Switched on Summer" contest. So take a listen, and let Slow Dance be the soundtrack to your retro futuristic dreams.

Alex knows how to deliver words in a way that complement Jacob's innovative electro-riffs; the partnership between the two is a symbiotic one that is delightful to experience. It shows, once again, that (despite the title of this latest gem) Slow Dance are full of potential and I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
LOGO TV's NewNowNext
LA-based, synth-pop power couple Slow Dance is bringing the 80s back with this smart track that so gracefully stylizes a breakup, that I kind of wish I had a good reason to lip-synch this on the dance floor.
The Q Review
Slow Dance know who they are as artists and completely get the listener who will quickly gravitate to this sugar coated gem. 'No Promises' is that exuberance and innocence of youthful love, romance and excitement. It's a pop bop for the day, filled with light and carries with it a musical fountain of youth. When romantic comedy filmmakers are looking for musical inspiration for their soundtrack, they need to dial up a little Slow Dance.
